About the Role

Job Description: Behavioral Health Technicians, under the supervision of a master’s level case supervisor, provide one-to-one therapeutic services using evidence-based behavior interventions with an assigned client (child/youth/young adult). Services are delivered across the home, daycare/school, community, and/or clinic.

Job Responsibilities:
•Adhere to, follow, and implement all goals, interventions, and directives as written in client treatment plan
•Travel to client (including home, school, and/or community locations) as prescribed and as needed
•Data collection regarding behaviors and treatment plan goals
•Implement behavior analytic interventions to support client(s) across settings, teach new skills (increase functional or desired behaviors),
•Manage and decrease target behaviors as directed by supervisor, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a nationally-recognized certificate for paraprofessionals working in Applied Behavior Analysis. Becoming certified as an RBT at Expressive Pathways is optional, but you are paid at a higher rate once you receive your RBT credential. Expressive Pathways will pay for you to become trained and certified as an RBT!

Requirements

  • Education:

    • High school or equivalent (Required)

    Experience:

    • Behavioral Health/Applied Behavior Analysis: 1 year (Preferred)


All Applicants must:

  • Have and provide the following clearances prior to working with clients: PA State Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Check, FBI Clearance

  • Complete mandated trainings provided by Expressive Pathways as stipulated by Pennsylvania State regulations prior to working with clients: 40-hour RBT course, additional 30-hour training course, mandated reporter training, CPR/First Aid training. All trainings are provided and paid for by Expressive Pathways and must be completed prior to working directly with clients.


Pay Structure:

  • ALL starting hourly pay is dependent on experience (DOE)!

  • For entry level applicants:

  • Behavioral Health Technician (no RBT certification) = $20/hour with regular pay increases directly tied to performance evaluations

  • Behavioral Health Technician (with RBT certification) = $22-25/hour (DOE) with regular pay increases directly tied to performance evaluations

  • Training Rate and Non-Billable Activities = $12/hour

  • Travel time = $7.25/hour
